All About Faith, Food and Fitness
Jessica Rath is the driving-force behind Faith THEN Food and Fitness. Her passion lies within inspiring, encouraging and supporting women and girls to become all that they were created to be. To earnestly seek Christ, serving their families in love, loving themselves and others and using their God-given gifts to bless others.
Jess speaks from the heart. She greatly desires to see women encounter God in a real and tangible way, realigning themselves with Jesus, becoming set free to live healthy, active, Spirit-filled lives. She truly believes that in order to be completely well and we must first look after our faith, we must pay attention to the food we eat, and we must move our bodies every day. Not only should we be doing this for ourselves but also for our families, after all we are all temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
After a seven year struggle with disordered eating, which led to struggles with weight and health issues, God freed Jess and fully restored her to physical and spiritual wholeness. She created Faith, Food and Fitness to encourage and support women in their journey to complete wholeness.
Jess is a Christian woman living in Queensland, Australia. She is a teacher, a mother of four, wife, church leader, Christian Health and Wellness Instructor/Faciliator, speaker and ‘do-er’ of life to the fullest. Jess’s husband works away from home on a rotating week on-week off roster in an underground coalmine. They have four sons, ages 19, 18, 16 and 6.
Jess attends C3 Church Mackay. She has completed a Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology, and has trained in Biblicial Health and Wellness Ministry. In February 2016, Jess was awarded Soroptimst International Mackay Region Woman Achiever of the Year. This was awarded for her efforts in contributing to Soroptimst International’s goal to improve the lives and status of women and girls through education, empowerment and enabling opportunities. Jess embodies this goal, locally and globally with her ministry and with her association of Destiny Rescue, an organisation that works to free children from sexual slavery and human trafficking. She has been on many trips to Thailand and Cambodia with Destiny Rescue and continues to advocate for them here in Australia by speaking at public and school/youth events.
